Where is my journal kept?

On your device, and in your own private iCloud database if you turn on sync. Feelwheel has no account and no Feelwheel server, so your entries never pass through us, and there is no copy we could restore if a phone is lost or the app is deleted.

Keep a backup: in Settings, tap “export everything” to save the whole journal, photos and voice notes included, as one JSON file. The file is not encrypted and holds your whole journal, so keep it somewhere private.

How do I move my journal to a new phone?

• With Apple’s transfer or a backup: set up the new iPhone with Quick Start, or restore it from an iCloud or computer backup of the old one. The journal comes across with the rest of your app data.
• With iCloud sync (part of Feelwheel Plus): sign in to the same Apple Account on both devices and turn on “sync with icloud” in Settings, then close Feelwheel and open it again, as sync starts on the next launch. The journal syncs through your own private iCloud database, never through us.
• By hand: tap “export everything” on the old phone, move the file across with AirDrop or Files, then tap “import a backup” in Settings on the new one. Importing merges entry by entry, so doing it twice never creates duplicates.

How do I manage or cancel Feelwheel Plus?

Plus is an auto-renewing subscription billed by Apple. On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions (Apple’s guide). Cancel at least 24 hours before it renews to avoid the next charge. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Billing and refunds are handled by Apple: request a refund.

I paid for Plus, but the app has not unlocked

Check that you are signed in with the Apple Account that bought it, then tap “restore purchases” in Settings or at the bottom of the Plus screen. If that does not help, email cankatsarac@gmail.com.

What happens to my entries if Plus ends?

Nothing is deleted. The check-in, every word, unlimited new entries and export stay free.

Without Plus, insights, search and the year view show the last 30 days, and adding photo or voice attachments needs Plus. Older entries stay on your device and in your exports, and come back into view if you subscribe again. Presence Mode, the app with every number removed, stays free in full.

Does Feelwheel read my Apple Health data?

No. Apple Health mirroring is off until you turn it on in Settings. When it is on, Feelwheel writes each check-in to Health as a State of Mind entry, and it never asks for permission to read anything.

Is Feelwheel a medical or crisis service?

No. Feelwheel is a journal for personal reflection, not a medical device, therapy or a crisis service. If you are in danger or need urgent help, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line.
